1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Trovvy mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Trovvy, LLC ("Trovvy," "we," "us," or "our").
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
2. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
3. Account Registration
To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
4. Description of Service
Trovvy is a family-first pet management platform that provides:
- Pet profiles with comprehensive attribute tracking
- Vaccination tracking and medication reminders
- Training and behavior tracking with verified certifications
- Service provider marketplace (trainers, walkers, sitters, groomers, behaviorists)
- Pet social features and QR code sharing
- Microchip registry and lookup
- Photo contests and community promotions
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes
- Provide accurate information about your pets
- Respect the privacy and rights of other users
- Not misuse or abuse the Service
6. Service Provider Terms
If you register as a service provider (Trainer, Walker, Sitter, Groomer, or Behaviorist), you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your qualifications and services
- Maintain appropriate insurance and licenses as required by law
- Honor appointments and commitments made through the platform
- Comply with our fee structure (5% platform fee, capped at $49/month)
7. Payments and Subscriptions
Service providers receive payments through Stripe Connect. Trovvy charges a 5% platform fee on all transactions, capped at $49 per month. Premium subscriptions for pet owners provide an ad-free experience.
8. Contests and Promotions
Trovvy may offer photo contests, sweepstakes, or other promotions ("Contests") from time to time. The following terms apply to all Contests unless specific contest rules state otherwise:
8.1 General Rules
- No purchase necessary to enter or win any Contest. A purchase or payment will not improve your chances of winning.
- Contests are open to users aged 13 or older who have a valid Trovvy account.
- Contests are void where prohibited by law.
- Trovvy, LLC is the sponsor of all Contests unless otherwise stated. Some Contests may be sponsored by or co-sponsored with third-party partners, who will be identified in the Contest listing. Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not sponsors of, and are not affiliated with, any Trovvy Contest.
8.2 Entries
- Each pet may have one entry per Contest unless otherwise stated.
- You may only submit photos of pets you own or have permission to photograph.
- By submitting an entry, you grant Trovvy a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, promote, and share your submitted photo in connection with the Contest, including on our website, app, and social media channels.
- Entries must not contain inappropriate, offensive, or misleading content. Trovvy reserves the right to disqualify any entry at our sole discretion.
8.3 Voting and Winner Selection
- Contest winners are determined by an ELO rating system based on pairwise voting by Trovvy users. Each voter is presented with two entries and selects a favorite. Ratings are calculated from the aggregate of all votes.
- At the close of voting, the entry with the highest ELO score is declared the winner.
- Vote manipulation, including creating multiple accounts to vote, using automated scripts, or coordinating inauthentic voting, is prohibited and may result in disqualification and account suspension.
- Trovvy reserves the right to disqualify entries or adjust results if vote manipulation is detected.
8.4 Prizes
- Prizes are described in each Contest's official listing within the app.
- Winners will be notified through the app and via push notification.
- Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash unless otherwise stated.
- Winners may be required to provide additional information (such as a mailing address) to receive physical prizes.
- Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes on prizes received.
8.5 Conduct
- You may share your contest entry link with friends, family, and on social media to encourage voting.
- You may not vote for your own pet's entry.
- You may report entries you believe violate Contest rules.
- Trovvy may cancel, modify, or suspend a Contest at any time for any reason, including technical issues or insufficient participation.
8.6 Third-Party Sponsored Contests
- Some Contests may be sponsored by third-party partners who provide prizes. The sponsor will be identified in the Contest listing.
- By entering a sponsored Contest, you agree that your pet's name, photo, and contest ranking may be shared with the named sponsor for promotional purposes related to the Contest.
- Trovvy is not responsible for prize fulfillment by third-party sponsors. Any issues with third-party prizes should be directed to the sponsor.
- Sponsor trademarks and branding displayed in connection with a Contest are the property of their respective owners and are used with permission.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service and all content, features, and functionality are owned by Trovvy and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TROVVY DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF INFORMATION PROVIDED BY USERS OR SERVICE PROVIDERS.
Trovvy is not a substitute for professional veterinary care. Always consult with a licensed veterinarian for medical advice regarding your pets.
11. Account Termination
Deletion by You: You may permanently delete your account at any time through the app (Profile > Delete Account). To complete deletion, you must verify your identity by entering your password or re-authenticating with Google/Apple. Upon deletion:
- Your access to the Service is immediately and permanently revoked
- All active appointments, class enrollments, and pending services are cancelled
- If you are a service provider, your active classes are cancelled and enrolled students are notified
- Your personal information is immediately anonymized (see our Privacy Policy for details)
- Your OAuth connections are removed, allowing you to register again with the same accounts if desired
No Reactivation: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you wish to use Trovvy again after deleting your account, you must create a new account.
Alternative Deletion Method: If you cannot access the app, you may request account deletion by emailing legal@trovvy.com with the email address associated with your account.
Termination by Trovvy: We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms.
